About Us

Friends of Israel Scouts, Inc. (DBA Tzofim North America) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the official North American branch of the Israeli Scouts Movement (Tzofim), Israel’s largest youth movement. Tzofim North America provides youth in grades 3–12 with a unique, peer-led leadership experience rooted in Hebrew language, Israeli culture, Jewish identity, and Zionist values.

Through weekly chapter programming, leadership seminars, camps, and immersive Israel experiences, Tzofim empowers teens to develop leadership skills, strengthen their Jewish and Zionist identity, and build a lifelong connection to Israel and their local communities. Today, Tzofim North America serves more than 5,500 participants annually across 28 chapters in the United States and Canada, and engages hundreds more through its summer programs.

In addition, Tzofim reaches thousands of community members each year through initiatives such as the Friendship Caravan, which brings Israeli teen performers to North America to share Israeli culture and strengthen community connections, and Garin Tzabar, an aliyah and integration program that prepares and supports young adults from North America and around the world who choose to make aliyah.
